Well, we made it through court last week! This is fabulous news. So legally at this point, I am Baby Heaven's mama. I can't wait to meet her. I'm waiting now for her birth certificate and then travel dates. Hoping for the last week of January, first week of February. Can't wait!

Okay- so late in the day on October 3, 2008 I received the call for my beautiful baby girl. I was getting my vaccinations for the trip to Ethiopia, hoping, hoping, hoping to have a reason for them soon. My phone went off in between Hep A/B and Yellow Fever and I apologized profusely to the doctor for being so rude by forgetting to turn off the ringer. She told me to hang out in the waiting room for 20 minutes after the shots to make sure there weren't any adverse effects, and as I sat there I remembered to check my voicemail. It was Children's Home, my agency. It was my social worker! When she told me the news I cried and cried. 5 1/2 month old, Heaven.

This is the blog sharing info for you about my adoption. I can't wait to head to Addis Ababa to pick up my beautiful daughter, Heaven! She is currently 7 months old and couldn't be cuter. It's been a looooong journey, but hopefully will be coming to an end soon- or more accurately a beginning. Thanks for helping her and I celebrate!
